• Some people buy clothes to feel better; others buy plants. We all have our own personal coping mechanisms. Plant parents will rarely be satisfied with the number of plants waiting for them at home.  It doesn't matter if half of them are struggling to stay alive; there can always be more green in every corner of your house. My best friend's home is about to turn into a greenhouse, but she will make me buy her a plant for every birthday. I have to say, I admire plant parents. It is no easy job; each plant needs a different type of care, a different amount of sunlight, and water; some of them may even need a different kind of soil. The dedication is insane.

•  And these plants are their babies; they don't mess around with them. The amount of time and money invested is something that probably only plant lovers understand; I can barely hydrate myself; imagine hydrating 20 living creatures as well. Not one plant would thrive under my care. And that's okay; I'd rather stay in the shopaholic team. The clean washer and I get along pretty well. Another important factor to take into account when being a plant mom is that you need a babysitter- well, a plant sitter. And not any plant-sitter; you need to find someone who loves your children (your plants) as much as you do, and will take the job as seriously. Imagine going on holidays and coming home to your dear children struggling to stay alive. Not to be pessimistic, but it is a difficult task to participate in.

• My utter respect to all plant parents out there giving their all to keep their children happy and fed. I see you; you are doing great. I hope these memes scratched the itch to buy another plant; I promise you, there is enough oxygen in your home to clean all the polluted air in the world. Take good care of the babies you already have, and maybe consider buying a fake plant at Target; who knows, maybe it will work.
